Across the country, people are coming together and organising to support their neighbours. These efforts are being supported by a national organisation:
There is a group in Southwark. Its Facebook page has resources and information about how you can help.

The Walworth Living Room is a new space for our community, open to everyone. While our building is shut to keep our community safe at this time, you can’t shut a community. We’ll continue supporting one another during this crisis with activities streamed online with Zoom, an online conference call software.
Local charity Creation Trust is running a virtual book group, which meets on Wednesday evenings.
From 21 December, libraries in Southwark are closed until further notice. The Council will review when it's safe to reopen in the new year.

All events in the Council's parks and open spaces remain unauthorised. Please don't organise or attend unlicensed events.
If you, or another Southwark resident, can’t leave the house due to coronavirus (Covid-19), and may not have friends, family or neighbours who can help with the delivery of essential supplies, please make a referral to Southwark Council.
You can find details of local pharmacies by entering your postcode on the NHS Find a Pharmacy service. This will show the nearest pharmacies to your house, with details of their locations and opening times.
To get help from a foodbank, you'll need to be referred by a local agency. If you do not have contact with one already, please call the Southwark Council Community Hub Emergency helpline on 020 7525 5000.
Southwark Food Action Alliance (SFAA) is mapping essential services such as foodbanks, community fridges, community meals and local delivery services during Covid-19.
If you have any food related information, you can log in and add it to the map.
